List Of Cities And Regencies In Special Capital Region Of Jakarta Province

As already mentioned in my article entitled "List Of Province In Indonesia" that Special Capital Region Of Jakarta (DKI Jakarta) province  is divided into 6 cities administration cities and administration regencies. Where 5 of them are administration cities and the remaining 1 is administration regency. In this article, I will give you the list of those cities and regencies existing in Special Capital Region Of Jakarta province. But, let me tell you first what is the differences between city and regency. Briefly, the differences between cities and regencies can be seen from the life of the residents, where the residents of a city are usually more develop than the resident of a regency. Other than that, there are still some point that becomes differences between city and regency.

Here are the difference between city and regency that I present in table form:

1. West Jakarta Administration City

West Jakarta Administration city is one of cities (administration) in Special Capital Region Of Jakarta province whose its central goverment located in Kembangan district. West Jakarta Administration city is currently led by a mayor which name is Anas Effendi. West Jakarta Administration city has an area of 129,54 km² which divided into 8 districts (we call it "kecamatan"). Those 8 districts are then divided again into 56 sub-district (we call it "kelurahan/desa").

2. Central Jakarta Administration City

Central Jakarta Administration city is one of cities (administration) in Special Capital Region Of Jakarta province whose its central goverment located in Menteng. Central Jakarta Administration city is currently led by a mayor which name is Mangara Pardede. Central Jakarta Administration city has an area of 48,13 km² which divided into 8 districts (we call it "kecamatan"). Those 8 districts are then divided again into 44 sub-district (we call it "kelurahan/desa").

3. South Jakarta Administration City

South Jakarta Administration city is one of cities (administration) in Special Capital Region Of Jakarta province whose its central goverment located in Kebayoran Baru. South Jakarta Administration city is currently led by a mayor which name is Tri Kurniadi. South Jakarta Administration city has an area of 141,27 km² which divided into 10 districts (we call it "kecamatan"). Those 10 districts are then divided again into 65 sub-district (we call it "kelurahan/desa").

4. East Jakarta Administration City

East Jakarta Administration city is one of cities (administration) in Special Capital Region Of Jakarta province whose its central goverment located in Cakung. East Jakarta Administration city is currently led by a mayor which name is Bambang Musyawardana. East Jakarta Administration city has an area of 188,03 km² which divided into 10 districts (we call it "kecamatan"). Those 10 districts are then divided again into 65 sub-district (we call it "kelurahan/desa").

5. North Jakarta Administration City

North Jakarta Administration city is one of cities (administration) in Special Capital Region Of Jakarta province whose its central goverment located in Koja. North Jakarta Administration city is currently led by a mayor which name is Husein Murad. North Jakarta Administration city has an area of 146,66 km² which divided into 6 districts (we call it "kecamatan"). Those 6 districts are then divided again into 31 sub-district (we call it "kelurahan/desa").

6. Thousand Island (Kepulauan Seribu) Administration Regency

Thousand Island Administration regency is the only one regency (administration) in Special Capital Region Of Jakarta province whose its central goverment located in Pramuka Island. Thousand Island Administration regency is currently led by a regen which name is Irmansyah. Thousand Island Administration regency has an area of 8,7 km² which divided into 2 districts (we call it "kecamatan"). Those 2 districts are then divided again into 6 sub-district (we call it "kelurahan/desa").
