As already mentioned in my article entitled "List Of Province In Indonesia" that the province of West Java is divided into 27 cities and regencies. Where 18 of them are regencies and the remaining 9 are cities. In this article, I will give you the list of those cities and regencies existing in West Java province. But, let me tell you first what is the differences between city and regency. Briefly, the differences between cities and regencies can be seen from the life of the residents, where the residents of a city are usually more develop than the resident of a regency. Other than that, there are still some point that becomes differences between city and regency.
Here are the difference between city and regency that I present in table form:

1. Bandung Regency
Bandung Regency is one of regencies in West Java province whose its central goverment located in Soreang. Bandung Regency is currently led by a regent which name is Dadang M. Nasser. Bandung Regency has an area of 1762 km2 which divided into 31 districts (we call it "kecamatan"). Those 31 districts are then divided again into 280 sub-district (we call it "kelurahan/desa").
2. West Bandung Regency
West Bandung Regency is one of regencies in West Java province whose its central goverment located in Ngamprah district. West Bandung Regency is currently led by a regent which name is Abu Bakar. West Bandung Regency has an area of 1311 km2 which divided into 16 districts (we call it "kecamatan"). Those 16 districts are then divided again into 165 sub-district (we call it "kelurahan/desa").
3. Bekasi Regency
Bekasi Regency is one of regencies in West Java province whose its central goverment located in Cikarang district. Bekasi Regency is currently led by a regent which name is Neneng Hassanah Yasin. Bekasi Regency has an area of 1484 km2 which divided into 23 districts (we call it "kecamatan"). Those 23 districts are then divided again into 187 sub-district (we call it "kelurahan/desa").
4. Bogor Regency
Bogor Regency is one of regencies in West Java province whose its central goverment located in Cibinong. Bogor Regency is currently led by a regent which name is Nurhayanti. Bogor Regency has an area of 2071 km2 which divided into 40 districts (we call it "kecamatan"). Those 40 districts are then divided again into 434 sub-district (we call it "kelurahan/desa").
5. Ciamis Regency
Ciamis Regency is one of regencies in West Java province whose its central goverment located in Ciamis district. Ciamis Regency is currently led by a regent which name is Iing Syam Arifin. Ciamis Regency has an area of 2556 km2 which divided into 26 districts (we call it "kecamatan"). Those 26 districts are then divided again into 265 sub-district (we call it "kelurahan/desa").
6. Cianjur Regency
Cianjur Regency is one of regencies in West Java province whose its central goverment located in Cianjur district. Cianjur Regency is currently led by a regent which name is Irvan Rivano Muchtar. Cianjur Regency has an area of 3432 km2 which divided into 32 districts (we call it "kecamatan"). Those 32 districts are then divided again into 360 sub-district (we call it "kelurahan/desa").
7. Cirebon Regency
Cirebon Regency is one of regencies in West Java province whose its central goverment located in Sumber district. Cirebon Regency is currently led by a regent which name is Sunjaya Purwadi Sastra. Cirebon Regency has an area of 990 km2 which divided into 40 districts (we call it "kecamatan"). Those 40 districts are then divided again into 424 sub-district (we call it "kelurahan/desa").
8. Garut Regency
Garut Regency is one of regencies in West Java province whose its central goverment located in Tarogong Kidul. Garut Regency is currently led by a regent which name is Rudi Gunawan. Garut Regency has an area of 3065 km2 which divided into 42 districts (we call it "kecamatan"). Those 42 districts are then divided again into 442 sub-district (we call it "kelurahan/desa").
9. Indramayu Regency
Indramayu Regency is one of regencies in West Java province whose its central goverment located in Indramayu district. Indramayu Regency is currently led by a regent which name is Anna Sophana. Indramayu Regency has an area of 2000 km2 which divided into 31 districts (we call it "kecamatan"). Those 31 districts are then divided again into 317 sub-district (we call it "kelurahan/desa").
10. Karawang Regency
Karawang Regency is one of regencies in West Java province whose its central goverment located in Karawang district. Karawang Regency is currently led by a regent which name is Cellicia Nurrachadiana. Karawang Regency has an area of 1737 km2 which divided into 30 districts (we call it "kecamatan"). Those 30 districts are then divided again into 309 sub-district (we call it "kelurahan/desa").
11. Kuningan Regency
Kuningan Regency is one of regencies in West Java province whose its central goverment located in Kuningan district. Kuningan Regency is currently led by a regent which name is Ace Purnama. Kuningan Regency has an area of 1178 km2 which divided into 32 districts (we call it "kecamatan"). Those 32 districts are then divided again into 376 sub-district (we call it "kelurahan/desa").
12. Majalengka Regency
Majalengka Regency is one of regencies in West Java province whose its central goverment located in Majalengka district. Majalengka Regency is currently led by a regent which name is Sutrisno. Majalengka regency has an area of 1204 km2 which divided into 26 districts (we call it "kecamatan"). Those 26 districts are then divided again into 343 sub-district (we call it "kelurahan/desa").
13. Pangandaran Regency
Pangandaran Regency is one of regencies in West Aceh province whose its central goverment located in Parigi. Pangandaran Regency is currently led by a regent which name is Jeje Wiradinata. Pangandaran has an area of 1680 km2 which divided into 10 districts (we call it "kecamatan"). Those 10 districts are then divided again into 93 sub-district (we call it "kelurahan/desa").
14. Purwakarta Regency
Purwakarta Regency is one of regencies in West Java province whose its central goverment located in Purwakarta district. Purwakarta Regency is currently led by a regent which name is Dedi Mulyadi. Purwakarta regency has an area of 971 km2 which divided into 17 districts (we call it "kecamatan"). Those 17 districts are then divided again into 192 sub-district (we call it "kelurahan/desa").
15. Subang Regency
Subang Regency is one of regencies in West Java province whose its central goverment located in Subang district. Subang Regency is currently led by a regent which name is Imas Aryumningsih. Subang regency has an area of 2051 km2 which divided into 30 districts (we call it "kecamatan"). Those 30 districts are then divided again into 253 sub-district (we call it "kelurahan/desa").
16. Sukabumi Regency
Sukabumi Regency is one of regencies in West Java province whose its central goverment located in Palabuhanratu. Sukabumi Regency is currently led by a regent which name is Marwan Hamami. Sukabumi Regency has an area of 4161 km2 which divided into 47 districts (we call it "kecamatan"). Those 47 districts are then divided again into 386 sub-district (we call it "kelurahan/desa").
17. Sumedang Regency
Sumedang Regency is one of regencies in West Java province whose its central goverment located in Sumedang district. Sumedang Regency is currently led by a regent which name is Eka Setiawan. Sumedang Regency has an area of 1522 km2 which divided into 26 districts (we call it "kecamatan"). Those 26 districts are then divided again into 283 sub-district (we call it "kelurahan/desa").
18. Tasikmalaya Regency
Tasikmalaya Regency is one of regencies in West Java province whose its central goverment located in Singaparna. Tasikmalaya Regency is currently led by a regent which name is Ulu Ruzhanul Ulum. Tasikmalaya has an area of 2712 km2 which divided into 39 districts (we call it "kecamatan"). Those 39 districts are then divided again into 351 sub-district (we call it "kelurahan/desa").
19. Bandung City
Bandung City is one of cities in West Java province. Bandung City is currently led by a mayor which name is Ridwan Kamil. Bandung has an area of 167,7 km2 which divided into 30 districts (we call it "kecamatan"). Those 30 districts are then divided again into 151 sub-district (we call it "kelurahan/desa").
20. Banjar City
Banjar City is one of cities in West Java province. Banjar City is currently led by a mayor which name is Ade Uu Sukaesih. Banjar City has an area of 113,49 km2 which divided into 4 districts (we call it "kecamatan"). Those 4 districts are then divided again into 25 sub-district (we call it "kelurahan/desa").
21. Bekasi City
Bekasi City is one of cities in West Java province. Bekasi City is currently led by a mayor which name is Rahmat Effendi. Bekasi City has an area of 210,49 km2 which divided into 12 districts (we call it "kecamatan"). Those 12 districts are then divided again into 56 sub-district (we call it "kelurahan/desa").
22. Bogor City
Bogor City is one of cities in West Java province. Bogor City is currently led by a mayor which name is Bima Arya. Bogor City has an area of 118,5 km2 which divided into 6 districts (we call it "kecamatan"). Those 6 districts are then divided again into 68 sub-district (we call it "kelurahan/desa").
23. Cimahi City
Cimahi City is one of cities in West Java province. Cimahi City is currently led by a mayor which name is Ajay Muhammad Priatna. Cimahi City has an area of 48,42 km2 which divided into 3 districts (we call it "kecamatan"). Those 3 districts are then divided again into 15 sub-district (we call it "kelurahan/desa").

Sukabumi City has an area of 318,11 km2 which divided into 7 districts (we call it "kecamatan"). Those 7 districts are then divided again into 33 sub-district (we call it "kelurahan/desa").
27. Tasikmalaya City
Tasikmalaya City is one of cities in West Java province. Tasikmalaya City is currently led by a mayor which name is Budi Budiman. Tasikmalaya City has an area of 184,38 km2 which divided into 10 districts (we call it "kecamatan"). Those 10 districts are then divided again into 69 sub-district (we call it "kelurahan/desa").
